My teacher used to fling my note book away

29 June 2016, 11:27 Elehinle Olalekan

Interview with Elehinle Olalekan, the founder and president of EOWRA Initiative.

Can you tell us about yourself sir?

My Name is Elehinle Olalekan Edward, I am a socio-economic and health advocate. I train young men and women how to stand tall and make a difference in the society.

So what is EOWRA Initiative all about?

EOWRA Initiative is an initiative which I formed with the support of my friends to help national development through self development. You cannot contribute to the society without you been empowered first.

So how do you carry out the initiative works?

We carry out seminars on leadership, advocacy programs on HIV/AIDS, health issues and life buiding skills for young people.

What do you think is/are our major problem(s) in Nigeria?

Our major problems in Nigeria are bad leadership and corruption. Corruption is in every sector of our system and thanks to the President Buhari who is flushing it out gradually.

When you were growing up, what experience will you never forget?

When I was in primary school my teacher used to fling my note book away because of my bad hand writing. I still have the same hand writing till now, I believe my brain still works faster than my hand (he laughed).
