Nigeria, our Father land

26 May 2016, 10:58 Adedamola Odukoya

The current situation in Nigeria requires us to pacify Nigerians and ourselves. The rate of poverty has increased and Nigerians are suffering. It's high time we stopped accusing one government or the other, but face reality.

There are reasons for the problem we are facing in Nigeria; That is Bad Representation, The People and High Cost of Governance. Bad Representation.

In Nigeria, we are badly represented at the upper and lower chamber by people with shallow minds and selfish interests. They are all working in their own interest which frustrates the work of the executives.

The legislature are yet to stabilise Nigeria through constitutionalism, and the judiciary are yet to uphold the rule of law, thereby leading to the wrong doings of the executive. The Legislature, Judiciary and Executive must know their functions and perform it well.

The People of Nigeria are also yet to show their interest in the development of this nation as we always say, 'it concerns me not!'. It concerns all of us.

Let us in unity fight against wrong policies and also support the present government. Nigeria will make it! Also, we cherish foreign things to ours. This in turn affects our economy.

We are dependent on imports and you are saying we should not have problems? If we do not recognise this truth, the problems have just started.

High Cost of Governance. Sigh. Nigeria, the giant of Africa! Our senators earn more than the US President? This is incredible and yet we say no money to run government.

Let them come out to the open and see Nigerians suffering. They are heartless though.

The Ministers have Special Advisers, and Senior Special Advisers and all these ones will have secretaries, drivers, etc. Special Adviser to the Special Adviser of the Senior Special Adviser??

Let us see the truth! Let us adopt the truth! It's becoming so frustrating.

We do not need 360 Representatives again! We do not need 109 senators again! Cut it short! One car to One Political office holder!

Nigerians fight for the truth!
