Positioning yourself to get distinctive wisdom

26 May 2016, 10:46

In life even though God is the ultimate giver of wisdom, he also expects us to use personal efforts to be wise.

You can get "wisdom"from things you know, you see, experience or elderly advice and leading.

According to a dictionary, wisdom is the ability to make sensible decision and give good advice of the experience and knowledge. But another thing you need to know is that you cannot have wisdom without having knowledge and you can not show wisdom if you do not have understanding.

As I mentioned, that you can have wisdom from the things you "know". Since God is the ultimate giver of knowledge and understanding, he decided to put wisdom in between and understanding (knowledge-wisdom-understanding) so that we will have to go through him (God) to get knowledge and understanding then to your personal efforts to consolidate on what you know to become wise and finally go through him again to get understanding, to confirm  and show your wisdom. Generally speaking, a man who says he is wise or who people know to become wise has a relationship with God in one way or the other.

To students, teachers and parents, God said that he honors His words more than His name,so do not hesitate to talk to him with His word in the bible. When praying to him i.e quote  various books of the bible that deals with your prayer.

To ask God for wisdom, knowledge or understanding, you can make good use of the books of proverb which is a guide  that helps us work in the right path. It shows us different things we should yield to and that there is a reward to yielding to it.

Therefore, be wise "get wisdom and in all your endeavours, get understanding".

"Go to the ant, sluggard consider her ways and be wise".
