Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a catalyst and fear to some

14 September 2016, 11:22 Ayeni Ola Socrates

Before the Ondo APC primaries yesterday some unglorified element within and outside Ondo State labelled His Excellence Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu anti-democrat for him to have preferred Olusegun Michael Abraham above others 23 aspirants that was in the raise to Alagbaka Government House in the Sunshine State, Ondo and this has orchestrated different open letters to disparage the person of Asiwaju and precipitated the heaten up of the polity.

Tinubu, a man of honor and staunch democrat carefully watched as the system regulates itself without allowing external variables to undermine the efficacy of the intra-party electoral process which midwife the free and fair intra electoral process that validates the emergence of Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Ondo State Governorship Election coming up on 26th November, 2016.

Tinubu as a true leader of the All Progressives Congress deserves a resounding accolade for allowing the process to be free and fair to all contestant but instead to this some elements within and outside the party results to name calling, insults and derogatory words was what pervades the polity especially the cyber space on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It is necessary for all to know that democracy all over the globe and the issue of godfatherism are inseparable entity and making a choice by any politician amongst various alternatives is inevitable in democracy and accepting an aspirant as a preferred choice is not a thing of legality but it should be based on the perception of the mind which is right, as there is no neutral in the heart of a man it is either you are in support or against in a contest.

Furthermore, I am convinced to say this, if our notion on godfatherism refuses to change it will be an assiduous task before we can experience a fundamental development in our nascent democracy that guarantee freedom of thought and conscience.

In addition, I am bold to say that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a just an ordinary human being like others, whose decision cum choice should not always be perceive or conceive as something negative, and let me reiterate here that it is not all challenge you can won, you win some while at the same time you loss some and losing some is not synonymous that the person is a failure. If Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his political machinery  has single handedly packaged, rebrand and support President Buhari to become the flag bearer of APC which was validated by Buhari himself without being tagged a failure, while the sudden paradigm shift now?

As far as South-West is concerns, no person, I repeat no individual can raise or flex political muscle prowess with the political sage called Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the region and the outcome of yesterday, Ondo APC gubernatorial primaries poll is not a validity on the relegation or to curb the influence of Asiwaju cum legitimacy as opined by some political infants, whose utmost desire is to ensure the down fall of the political enigma of Asiwaju himself.

It sound risible to me that some subscribers of incongruent political school of thought of pull him down syndrome of Asiwaju Tinubu, are celebrating the paper weight value cum supremacy ascribed to Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) did not know that, the flag bearer of APC in the forthcoming Sunshine State Gubernatorial election cannot dissociate himself from the political dynasty of His Excellence Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It would be better if Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) realized that his victory at the intra party primaries  poll which is ephemeral or tentative victory will still be subjected to popular consent of the electorate at the general Election and should be magnanimous in victory by extending fellowship hands to his fellow contestants in the party contest for his  candidature as the  All Progressives Congress flag bearer , the best for him to actualize his long anticipated desire dream of governing the Sunshine State, whose foundation cum structure was laid by Tinubu.

Finally, let me end with this, no amount of sanctimonious words or illogical vituperation from any quarters can undermine the leadership nor legitimacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Long live the dynasty of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and your reign in Nigeria political landscape.

On your mandate I strongly stand with my entire household.
