Youth make up almost 60 percent of our nation population, they, and women, are the one that are mostly hit by the problems of our country Nigeria, especially when it comes to poverty, unemployment, crisis, insurgences and many other social vices that affect our nation negatively.
Today we have the President Mohammadu Buhari-led administration helping to fight corruption, many people are criticizing him of witch hunt, though the "witch hunt" as they call it is adding money to our nation's treasury. I believe great leaders or politicians with leadership characteristics of servant-leadership attitudes will not dare embezzle the money meant for public or use the money inappropriately.
As many people want the president to close his eyes and let them be, so will it also allow people in public position to have the gut to continue with the corrupt attitude that has gone under their skin without fear that one day they will face justice. As a positional leader, you cannot change everything at once because your position is a matter of time. Our citizens should support the president to help in this fight, I believe no one will justify all those that have been arrested non guilty of those charges.
I believe those kind of politicians did not have our country interest at heart before using our public fund anyhow. So they need to face the sound of the drum of justice, to serve as deterrent for our next generation and youths that will be in political position tomorrow, so that they will have the fear of man at heart if they do not have that of God at all that EFCC can come for them at anytime. And it will be in the history of Nigeria that corruption was flushed out with the fear of EFCC.
And studies should be introduced in both secondary schools and tertiary institutions on Anti Corruption in which we will have case studies on Diazeni Madueke, Fani Kayode and many others like them in textbooks for students to study. And I believe those in position who will not want their grand children and Great grand children to read those books portraying their names will never indulge themselves in the act of corruption.
