Where are good People?

14 June 2016, 14:46

Death has a sweeping frightening power. Many people in the world die not of natural courses. The acts of wickedness wield too much influence in the world.  There are too many dangerous possibilities flying around like air. The sphere of evil is so terrifyingly vast and intimidating and dominant. The atmosphere of hate is very widespread. Shadows made of conflicts densely cover the earth in many places. There are many enemies of life.

Kidnappers disappear people, and they become victims, become objects of death. Robbers seize their victims for money, for the booty, and grind them to death. People invade homes, offices, farms, streets, and damage things, and kill people, ramping up the thunder of tragedy. Thugs, insurgents, rioters, and others that use bad acts with the intention to maim, kill and destroy people are doing evil to people, and are not in short supply.

Many criminals spend substantial amount of time and energy and other resources to create tragic legacies in the world. So much hate is going on in the world. Religion is twisted to justify hatred, discrimination, injustice, and murder. Discrimination is projected to play heroic roles. Politics is wickedly bent to welcome, accommodate, and propagate hatred, evil, and death. Poverty, conflict, joblessness, and greed drive people to become migrants and refugees who launch dangerous journeys which take them to pain, horror, and death.

Where are good people to stop the litany of evil acts going on in the world?

Many continuing horrific killings going on in many places in the world is as haunting as the killings generated by the murderous character, The Misfit, in the classic short story, A Good Man is Hard to Find, written by the American writer Flannery O’ Connor.
