1 747 Kwara pilgrims arrive home

Ilorin - A total of 1 747 pilgrims from Kwara have so far returned  home after performing the Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

A total of 2 486 pilgrims from the state went on pilgrimage.

The Permanent Secretary, General Services in the Kwara Civil Service, Alhaji Muritala Sheu, gave the information on  Sunday while addressing the  News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Sheu, who is in charge of hajj operations,  said the aircraft which conveyed the fourth batch of 530 pilgrims from Jeddah arrived at the Ilorin International Airport on Sunday.

The permanent secretary said the remaining 739 pilgrims from the state would be flown home in two batches.

He said the State Muslim Pilgrims Board, has concluded plans for the successful return of the remaining pilgrims in two batches.

Sheu gave an assurance that all the pilgrims from the state who had returned were in good health.
