Lagos - Pandemonium reigned supreme in Ikorodu, a suburb of Lagos, yesterday, when two factions of motor park touts, known as area boys, clashed in a battle for supremacy.
The tussle started yesterday night at around 7pm at the popular Agric Bus Stop, when tricycle workers, known as 'keke Marwa' refused to pay the stipulated fees mandated by the road transport workers.
The tricycle operators questioned the rationale behind the use of touts to collect such fees if they were legitimate.
In the end, several 'union' workers and tricycle operators were wounded in the free-for-all, while one man was reported dead.
However, eyewitness accounts suggested that the death toll was more than one person.
