Minna - Eleven persons have been confirmed killed after the invasion and attack on some villages in Shiroro local government of Niger state by armed cattle rustlers, reports Vanguard.
The cattle rustlers attacked the villages and carted away several cows belonging to the villagers
Some youthful local vigilantes chased the rustlers and confronted them resulting in the killing of eight of the rustlers while three of the vigilantes also lost their lives.

The lawmaker representing Niger East, Senator David Umaru, visited the villages.
He decried the activities of the cattle rustlers and urged the government to tighten security in the area.
