Osogbo - Muhammed Husaini, the Osun Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, said on Wednesday that 113 road traffic offenders were convicted between January and March in the state.
He said the offences committed by the convicts included failure to use seat belt, driving without valid vehicle particulars and licences.
Hussaini said FRSC mobile courts ordered the offenders to pay between N2 000 and N10 000 in fines depending on the offences.
He said 14 offenders were, however, cautioned and discharged by the court.
The commander warned motorists against violation of traffic rules and regulations in order to reduce carnage on the roads.
Husaini said the FRSC would not relent in its efforts at enforcing the laws to ensure safety on the highways.
