Asaba - The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Delta says it has
apprehended 188 persons for traffic violations and secured conviction
against 78 others at its mobile court.
The Sector Commander in the state, Mr Ford Oti, said this on Friday
at the beginning of the second phase of the sector's “operation shield”
Oti explained 80 were charged to court but 78 were convicted while 105 offenders were cautioned and freed.
He said that the exercise took place in Asaba, Agbor and Issele-Uku.
According to him, the success of the first round of enlightenment programme prompted the sector to embark on the second phase.
