Abuja - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has found $1million raw cash in one of the houses belonging to the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.).
The money was recovered after the commission’s detectives searched a mansion located at 6 Ogun River Street, Maitama, Abuja.
The operatives found the money tucked in Badeh’s room.

The money is believed to be part of the diverted arms procurement funds.
The money has since been lodged as evidence to be used against Badeh in court.
Badeh is currently facing a 10-count charge of diverting N3.97billion belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
His trial is expected to commence on Monday.
