19 February 2015, 08:03Joy Akinsanya

Abeokuta - The Ogun Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board on Wednesday said it has commenced the sale of forms for 2015 Hajj to prospective Muslim pilgrims from the state.

The Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Sefiu Rasheed, made this known in a statement issued in Abeokuta.

He stated that the application form was N5,000, along with two passport size photographs for endorsement.

He noted that intending pilgrims should make an initial deposit of N600,000 on or before March 13 and obtain an official receipt from the Finance and Accounts Department of the Board’s Secretariat, Block B, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He warned that unruly actions by pilgrims could attract necessary sanctions and urged intending pilgrims for 2015 to prepare themselves properly.

Rasheed said laboratory investigations shall be conducted on all prospective pilgrims by the board’s approved laboratory services at the cost of N2,700 each.
