2015 elections: Buhari commends Father Mbaka's courage

Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has lauded the leader of the Adoration Ministries Enugu, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka for openly condemning the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the run-up to the 2015 elections, Premium Times reports.

The President made the statement while congratulating the priest on the occasion of his 20th priestly ordination.

In the statement signed by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Buhari said Reverend Father Mbaka chose the part of honesty, despite realising that it could attract hostility from those he described as “leaders detached from reality”.

He said Mbaka’s decision to speak up and uphold the struggle for improved governance was enviable.

The Enugu-based Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Mbaka during the run up to the general elections accused former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience of plotting to assassinate him.
