Abuja - Ali Ndume, Senate Leader, has announced that the Senate would strive to pass the 2016 Budget before the end of March, Vanguard reports.
Ndume revealed that March was the deadline for the implementation of the 2015 budget, adding that the Senate would like to have passed the 2016 budget before that time.
Ndume also said that contrary to reports, the Senate did not suspend its activities indefinitely, but only said that the deadline "may not be feasible".

According to the Senate leader, the wish of the National Assembly to have the budget passed five weeks before the end of March was not possible due to errors in the document.
Ndume has since ensured that strict compliance would be followed by the Senate regarding the implementation of the budget.
