Abeokuta - The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Ogun, said on Tuesday that it convicted 237 traffic offenders in the state between December 18, 2014 and January 13, 2015.
Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Adegoke Adetunji, stated this in Abeokuta.
Adetunji listed the offences as over- speeding, dangerous driving, violation of traffic rules, failure to use seat belts and driving without valid vehicle particulars.

He said that the mobile court ordered the offenders to pay between N2 000 and N20 000 as fines, depending on the nature of the offence.
"There were 14 mobile court sittings within the period, where 237 people were convicted while the court cautioned and discharged 40 offenders during the period under review.
The sector commander warned motorists against violation of traffic rules and regulations, saying that they should imbibe the culture of adhering to traffic rules and regulations at all times
