Bauchi - 43 foreigners residing in Bauch State without valid documents have been arrested by the Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Leadership reports.
The Comptroller of agency in the state, Ejukwule Usman, said that 37 of the affected persons are from Niger Republic, three from Cameroon and three others from Mali.

He said the suspects who arrested from different locations had no valid documents, came to Nigeria through illegal means and were conducting unlawful businesses.
The exercise embarked upon by the immigration service was also to sanitize the state of criminal activities and pave way for the smooth conduct of the 2015 general elections according to the comptroller.
