Abuja - The police on Thursday arraigned two commercial sex workers, Blessing Osajie, 27, and Helen Gabriel,23, in a Grade 2 Area Court, Kado, Abuja, for allegedly using razor to slash the left ear of their colleague.
The two women are facing trial on three counts of conspiracy, assault and causing hurt.
The police prosecutor, Sgt Simeon Ibrahim, told the court that the accused persons, who live in Jabi Masalashi, FCT, beat up Rita Ebozele in front of a relaxation spot, Eden Garden, located in Jabi on September 14.
Ibrahim said that the accused persons attacked Ebozele over a customer who took interest in her and abandoned them.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened sections 96, 263 and 242 of the Penal Code.
They pleaded not guilty.
The presiding judge, Ahmed Ado, admitted the accused persons to bail in the sum of N50 000 each with two reliable sureties each who must be responsible people in the society.
Ado adjourned the case to October 2 for further hearing.
