Yola - Healthcare workers from the Adamawa Primary
Healthcare Development Agency staged a protest demanding paymement of their
outstanding salaries in Yola, Pulse reported.

Chairman of the agency, Dr Abdullahi Belel for allegedly neglecting the
While holding placards, the protesters expressed that since
upgrading of the state primary healthcare department the staff has been left
behind without anyone talking about salaries.

However, Belel has stated that the outstanding salaries were
due to the dwindling monthly allocation for local government councils.
Governor Bindow Jibrilla has been called to intervene
personally in the matter and workers have been told to exercise patience as the
matter will be sorted out.
