Yola - The proposed extension of emergence rule in the state by President Goodluck Jonathan has been met with condemnation by the governor of Adamawa, Murtala Nyako, reports Premium Times.
The president had written to the National Assembly on Wednesday, seeking extension of the emergency rule in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States.
Nyako said that Jonathan had succumbed to pressure to extend the politically-motivated emergency rule in Adamawa. The governor also asked the National Assembly to treat every state on its own merit while considering the president’s request.
