Agro firm eyes international innovative scheme

Lagos - A local agriculture firm is pitching at a prominent online event that gives student innovators from all over the world the opportunity to pitch virtually to technology luminaries.

CASAFLAKES, which has an innovative technology process for making higher nutritional livestock feeds from cassava, has pitched for the event, YouNoodle Live, scheduled for Tuesday next week.

CASAFLAKES are sold to livestock farmers at a much lower cost than traditional feeds giving poorer farmers an opportunity to participate in boosting food productivity in Africa.

The product also helps to reduce environmental pollution by using one farmer’s waste to serve another farmer.

YouNoodle, a startup competition platform, has prtnered with Draper University, located in the Silicon Valley, for next week's YouNoodle Live.

YouNoodle 1K focuses on the top 1 000 entrepreneurs and ideas selected from over 28 000 startups coming through more than 400 YouNoodle-driven startup competitions worldwide in the past 12 months.
