Airspace agency praised for enhancing service delivery

01 June 2015, 13:12 Augustine Osayande

Abuja - The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has lauded the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) for enhancing service delivery in the aviation sector.

The National President and Chairman of Council of the Institute, Rotimi Oladele, made these remarks when he led a high powered delegation of the institute on a courtesy visit to NAMA Headquarters in Lagos.

“The visible changes taking place in the agency in terms of acquisition and deployment of hi-tech navigational infrastructure and development of human capital is indicative of a focused and dynamic leadership determined to drive NAMA as a leading Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) in the world,” Oladele said.

He appealed to the Federal Government to give the agency full support in terms of funding of capital projects and training of manpower to enable the agency deliver on its strategic mandate of managing the safety and security of the nation’s airspace.

Oladele solicited more work synergy and team spirit among the various departments of the agency. He added that the institute was ready to partner with the agency in the areas of training of Public Affairs personnel and streamlining its service delivery structure for better results.
