Abuja - Former Akwa Ibom governor, Senator Godswill Akpabio who survived a car crash on Monday in Abuja has been flown abroad for further treatment, Punch reports.
Akpabio who had some injuries on his chest after the accident, was rushed to the Trauma ward of the National Hospital Abuja for treatment.
He was discharged on Monday evening but was flown abroad yesterday afternoon at about 1pm aboard his private jet.
The current minority leader of the Senate, was involved in a car accident on his way to the airport to catch an international flight on Monday.

His car ran into a convoy of some United State’s embassy officials while trying to beat the traffic light.
Airport sources however say he looked fit when he arrived the airport at about 12 noon.
He travelled with 5 of his aides.
