Akwa Ibom donates computers

11 November 2013, 08:30Augustine Osayande

Abuja - The Akwa Ibom State Government has given out about 300 laptop computers to locals who have graduated Nigerian Law School between 2010 and 2012.

Distributing the computers during an event, the State Commissioner for Education, Professor Atim Antai, who represented the State Governor, said the present administration was ready to improve students’ welfare.

“This is evident to the various grants, scholarships and bursary given out to Akwa Ibom Students within and outside the state,” he said.

Antai recalls that the beneficiaries of the laptops had already received their law grants stressing that government expected them to be law abiding citizens and engage on positive things that would promote the reputation of the State.

The State Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Chrisantus Asuka, congratulated the beneficiaries for passing through the Law School and charged them to contribute their quota to the development of the state and the nation.
