Abuja - The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, said his administration had performed admirably in the last six and a half years.
He said the performance of his administration during the period was a clear indication that government could work.
His deputy, Valerie Ebe, made the rating while addressing members of the State Branch of Committee of Fellows of the Nigerian Institute of Management at the 2014 dinner held at the Le Meridian Ibom Hotels and Golf Resort, Uyo.
The representative said government in Nigeria could work as exemplified by the administration in Akwa Ibom State.
She identified Nigeria’s challenges as tribalism, corruption and materialism, adding the state dealt with tribalism by appointing good hands to work with without minding where they came from.
The official commended the Nigerian Institute of Management for organizing the dinner which he hoped would foster the spirit of brotherliness among members and congratulated indigenes of the state who are fellows of the institute for the feat.
He also charged them to bring management excellence to bear in rendering various services.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the dinner, Charles Ikpe, hailed the administration of Akpabio.
He noted that emphasis have shifted from leadership to management of resources.
Ikpe urged members of the institute to partner with the government to contribute to the sustenance of management standards set by Akpabio.
