Al-Makura applauds panel's verdict

Nasarawa - Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa State on Tuesday said he has been vindicated by the verdict of the-seven man panel, investigating allegations of gross misconduct against him by the state House of Assembly, Channelstv reports.

Al-makura said the dismissal of all the charges against him had proven beyond reasonable doubt that he did nothing wrong in the discharge of his duties as the governor of the state.
The state House of Assembly had on July 14 moved for the impeachment of Governor Al-makura over allegation of misconduct and unanimously asked the State Chief Judge to set up a panel to look into the allegations.
