Lafia - Gov. Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa
state on Friday in Lafia assured intending Muslim pilgrims that the state
government would provide every necessary facility for their successful hajj at
the holy land.
The governor gave the assurance when he received Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the
Amirul Hajj for the state’s 2015 pilgrimage, on a courtesy visit to his office.
He said that the need to ensure a hitch-free exercise informed the state
government’s decision to assemble people of impeccable character to constitute
the hajj committee.
He lauded Adamu for accepting to serve as chairman of the state’s delegation to
the annual exercise, and described the visit as a mark of honour and
demonstration of leadership quality.

"I commend him specially for making this trip to show appreciation for a job
that I would ordinarily have thought that he would grudgingly accept giving the
task and difficulties associated with it.
