Abuja - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned an alleged fraudster at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt in River State for allegedly obtaining N10,5 million by false pretense.
Lebechi Chinedu is accused of collecting the money from one Samuel Johnson in a phoney contract deal. The alleged sum was a contract fee for the construction of a block of six classrooms at Etche Local Government Council of Rivers State.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him. The matter has been adjourned to may 16 while the accused will remain in custody pending the bail hearing.
