Rivers - The Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, said that the abduction of his Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Freddy Ndigbara, was politically motivated, Punch reports.
Ndigbara, who also anchors Amaechi’s programmes within and outside Government House, Port Harcourt, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen, who stormed a rally of the All Progressives Congress in Kaani Ward Six, Khana Local Government Area.
Ndigbara was said to have been whisked away on Sunday by hoodlums in Kaani Community, Khana Local Government Area of the state.

He was said to have been accosted and forced him into a waiting car by the gunmen during a ward rally organised by the All Progressives Congress in the area.
Eye witness account said the hoodlums stormed the rally with a red Toyota Highlander sports utility vehicle, made a quick search for their target before forcing him into the car and immediately sped off to an unknown destination.
