Anambra - The governing council of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko in Anambra State has directed immediate reopening of the polytechnic and resumption of lectures with immediate effect, Vanguard reports.
The academic board announced the withdrawal of the institution from the ongoing national strike of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) on Thursday.
The board said it is in full support of the agitations of the national union, but there is need to put the fate of the students of the polytechnic who had been at home for almost one year into consideration.
