Lagos - One fresh case of Ebola virus disease (EVD) has been reported in Lagos, reports NewsDay.
Dan Nwomeh, Special Assistant to the Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, on Media and Communication, who posted the new information on his Twitter handle, @danNwomeh, said the new case is a fiancé of a primary contact of Patrick Sawyer in Lagos.
Nwomeh, who was elaborating more on the statements the minister made during a press conference held earlier on Monday, said the patient has however been successfully managed and discharged.
He also said the sister of the late Port Harcourt doctor has been treated and discharged.

He said with the new case, the number of confirmed Ebola cases in Nigeria is now 19 with the total number of deaths still seven.
