Auto crash claims 2 in Enugu

Enugu - The Police in Enugu said 2 persons had died when four cars collided at Ezeagu, on Enugu-Onitsha expressway in two separate accidents.

This is contained in a statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Enugu state Police Command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu.

It said three persons had sustained various degrees of injury during the crash that involved a mercedez benz lorry with registration number XA 611 EBJ and a bus with number XU 702NKE leaving one passenger of the bus dead on Nov. 25.

Amarizu said the other crash happened at Ezeagu,also on Nov. 25 involving a mark truck with registration number XC 222 AGB and a Toyota hiace bus that left one of the occupants of the bus dead.

The statement said the both corpses had been deposited at Ekochim hospital 9th mile corner and Dora memorial hospital Oji Rivers.

It said that the three injured passengers were receiving treatment at Faith Hospital Oji River, near Enugu.
