Abuja - Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, assured the people of the region that his so-called Restoration Government would engender more development, peace and prosperity in 2014.
He said Government would keep faith with its commitment to further consolidate on its programmes and projects, as most of them would be inaugurated this year as part of activities to commemorate two years of the Restoration Government on February 14.
The governor expressed hope that 2014 will bring about the much needed development given the substantial investments that have been made to enhance security, education, infrastructures, manpower development, promotion of good governance, diversification of the economy through tourism and agriculture, health, power generation, sports development, judiciary and health.
“When these projects are completed they will stand as a lasting legacy of his administration for the present and future generation of Bayelsans,” said Dickson.
He urged the people to be grateful to God for His mercies and abundant blessings and be prayerful that the New Year will be better than the previous one and enjoined them to demonstrate the virtues of love in all they did.
