Bayelsa- Gunmen have abducted the mother of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Furoebi Akene, Vanguard reports.
The victim, identified as Madam Patimi Akene, was said to be returning from a vigil about midnight on Saturday before she seized and whisked away by six armed men at the riverside town of Fonibiri in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.
The incident occurred two weeks after the mother-in-law of the Bayelsa State Speaker was kidnapped in the creeks of Southern Ijaw council area of the state.
