He pointed out the Izon-Ibe microfinance bank was the first state owned microfinance bank, open to all Izon people and all those living and doing business in Bayelsa.

The bank also has branches in all the local government areas and Dickson said he would be commissioning them in the course of his campaign tour ahead of elections before the end of the year.

The Governor dedicated the sum of N25 million as start-up for each of the branches in the local government areas.

He urged people transacting business with the state government, traders and market people to make the most of the bank.

“This is a great opportunity. I urge all traders and market people to make this your bank.

Civil servants and pensioners in the state have been encouraged to open accounts at the banks to ensure ease of payment.
