Abuja - A section of the popular Uselu Market in the Egor Local Government area of Edo State has allegedly been gutted by a fire outbreak on Monday, PUNCH reports.
The fire, which is alleged to have occurred at about 8:30pm, destroyed over 50 shops along Osamwonyi Street, although no fatalities have been reported.
The fire is alleged to have destroyed goods worth millions of Naira.

Chidera Nwakeze, a trader in the area, reported that four shops recently stocked with rice, beans and other food stuffs had been destroyed.
Council Chairman Victor Enobakhare suspects the fire to be an act of sabotage against the rebuilding of the marketplace.
He has also offered to donate N1 million immediately, in order to alleviate the effect of the damage.
