The Army Public Relations disclosed the arrest on Tuesday evening.

It is alleged Hussaini, nicknamed Colonel, was a suspected member of Boko Haram and an impostor who had been parading himself as a Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army.

The army added that troops acting on a tip off carried out a raid operation which led to the arrest of Aliyu and one Ibrahim Mohammed, also known as Yuram, another suspected Boko Haram terrorist member.

"The two suspects were arrested at New GRA behind the Deputy Governor's House in Bauchi Metropolis," the army Public Relations said

It also disclosed that mobile phones, a SIM card and a vehicle as well as documents indicative of various fraudulent details were also recovered from the suspects.
