Abuja - Former Chief of Army Staff, General Onyeabor Azubuike Ihejirika has replied former Minister of FCT, Nasir El-rufai on his allegation that the former army chief was one of the chief sponsors of the Boko Haram sect, Vanguard reports.
El-rufai on Thursday on his Facebook account accused the former Governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff and Lt. Gen Azubuike Ihejirika of being the main financiers of the Boko Haram sect.

Ihejirika said he is not surprised that this unimaginable allegation is coming from ‘one of the Boko Haram Commanders’ because El-rufai and his other 'commanders' know the genesis of insurgency in the North-east.
He added that the likes of El-rufai started the campaign of human right abuses in order to divert international attention from the heinous crime being committed by the Boko Haram insurgents.
