Maiduguri - Suspected members of the Boko Haram sect have detonated an explosive that blew up a bridge linking Nigeria and neighbouring Chad, reports Premium Times.
The insurgents blew up the bridge when they were withdrawing from the attack on Gamboru Town, where at least 300 people were killed.
With the bombing, heavy duty trucks plying the Chad-Nigeria highway along can no longer access the bridge.
