Boko Haram faction ceases fire

Maiduguri - A group claiming to be a faction of Islamic sect, Boko Haram, has decided to ceasefire in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, Premium Times reports.

The faction said its decision was based on the fact that Muslims are also affected by the incessant attacks in the capital.

The group also said the announcement of the ceasefire followed a series of meetings it held with the government of Borno State.
