Boko Haram members arrested in Lagos, Ogun

Lagos - The Nigerian Army on Monday confirmed the arrest of many suspected Boko Haram members in Lagos and Ogun States, reports NewsDay.

The suspected Boko Haram members were arrested during several raids conducted in both Lagos and Ogun States by the 81 Division headquarters.

Former General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Tamunomieidi Dibi, confirmed the arrest of the suspects on Monday.

Dibi, who spoke when he was handing over the leadership of the Division to the new GOC, Major General Isodore Edet. however did not give a figure on the number of persons arrested, when they were arrested and what the Army did with them.

Dibi called on soldiers in the division to remain vigilant and also ensure that the insurgents do not infiltrate Lagos and its environs.
