Lagos - Nigerian Journalist and a close associate of the Boko Htaram sect, Ahmad Salkida has faulted reports that one of the sect members killed in a recent battle between the sect and the Nigerian Army was the Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, Punch reports.
Salkida, on his twitter handle tweeted that the photo being circulated was in no way Shekau, as he had it on good authority that the sect leader was well and alive.

According to him, the Nigerian Army has only been able to repel the taking over of Konduga and Maiduguri but has failed in reclaiming the communities overrun during the sect’s recent expansionist drive.
