Abuja - The Borno State has lamented the damage the Boko Haram sect has done to Bama Town, which the terrorists held captive in six months.
State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, expressed shock at the level of destruction masterminded by the terrorist group, saying almost all structures in the town had been destroyed.
“What we have seen today is wanton destruction of all structures," Shettima said.

He said all public and private structures including clinics, places of worship, houses and markets had been razed.
"Going by the facts on the ground, over 90 percent of all structures in the town have either been burnt or destroyed,” Shettima said.
Shettima's administration is assessing the destruction in Bama town, which the military recently liberated.
The commercial town is among a number of places that have borne the brunt of the militant Islamic sect.
