Borno - Borno Elders Forum has accused the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan of escalating the activities of the Boko Haram sect in the northeast, Premium Times reports.
The forum led by Gaji Galtimari, a retired ambassador, accused former President Goodluck Jonathan and the immediate past service chiefs of genocide.
It said the confession by the immediate Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh that he presided over an ill-equipped military during his tenure shows that the administration of Goodluck Jonathan did not care about ending the activities of the insurgents.

It said such statement exposed the wicked motives of the federal government of Nigeria under President Goodluck Jonathan to annihilate the northeast region by pushing soldiers to fight Boko Haram with faulty weapons.
The aggrieved elders want a list of all Borno citizens affected by the insurgency compiled, while family members of those killed should be compensated “for the deliberate killing of their relations”.
