Buhari condemns 'inhuman, barbaric' Boko Haram attacks

Abuja - Nigeria's new President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday condemned a wave of Boko Haram attacks in the restive northeast that left at least 145 people dead, blasting them as "inhuman and barbaric."

In a statement, he was quoted as saying that the violence highlighted the need "to form a more effective international coalition against insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria and neighbouring countries."
