Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief Security Officer, Abdulrahman Mani, has countered the directives ordering the Department of State Services (DSS) from providing close body protection to Buhari, reports Punch.
Mani has directed the DSS to disregard the order issued by Buhari’s Aide-De-Camp, Lt.-Col. Lawal Abubakar stopping the service from giving Buhari close body protection.

Mani, in a memo countermanding the ADC’s order said the order was a misrepresentation of Buhari’s directive.
Mani noted that the duties being performed by the DSS personnel in the Presidential villa were backed by relevant statutes and gazetted instruments.
Buhari’s ADC had on Wednesday issued a memo removing the DSS officials from 10 beats they were in charge.
