Abuja - A 32-year-old drug smuggler has died after capsules containing cocaine burst in his stomach, PUNCH reports.
The deceased, identified as Obiefuna Ndulue, was rushed to hospital after he allegedly slumped at the Nnamdi International Airport in Abuja.
Following the development, 55 capsules of cocaine weighing 1.2 kilograms in total were removed from the man's stomach.

The smuggler is said to have confessed to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) that he planned to transport the capsules to China.
He died shortly after receiving treatment.
Hamisu Lawan, NDLEA Commander at the airport, has confirmed the incident.
