Abuja - The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has confirmed the availability of N200 billion in the Revitalisation of Universities Infrastructure Account, Nation reports
The confirmation was made through a memo to the Accountant-General of the federation on Tuesday.
A copy of the memo was presented to journalists by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr Doyin Okupe.
Okupe said that the availability of the funds makes the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) illegal.
The spokesman said that a needs assessment committee will be inaugurated on Wednesday to speed up the utilisation of the released funds.
