Campaign dissuades Nigerians from driving under influence

02 November 2015, 16:26Okoro Chinedu

Lagos - The eighth edition of the Dont Drink and Drive campaign has resumed ahead of the festive season.

Nigerian Breweries, in association with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), are powering the campaign.

Nigerian Breweries, one of the foremost promoters of responsible alcohol consumption in Nigeria, has built a partnership with the FRSC going back over the past seven years.

This culminated with a Memorandum of Understanding between the two bodies last year in addition to the inauguration of a corporate FRSC Special Marshall Corps unit made up entirely of volunteers who are staff of Nigerian Breweries.

The 2015 Dont Drink and Drive campaign will feature public enlightenment and awareness sessions at motor parks in Abuja, Anambra, Benue and Oyo.

There will also be a workshop for FRSC officers and senior officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at a venue and date to be announced.
