The reason for the attack is suggested to be because of the leadership crisis that has rocked the union. However it is alleged that the attackers are known men and were paid to deliberately attack members of the union.

Law enforcement has been asked to intervene in the matter and arrest the sponsors of the attack.

Police are investigating the matter and no arrests have been made yet.
